New Site Announcement: Digital Media Studio Review
Just like everyone else these days, you’ve probably got loads of pictures and video sitting in your computer (or worse, languishing on an SD card in your camera/camcorder) just waiting for you to start all those media projects you’ve been planning but keep postponing. You’ve got plenty of clever ideas, but don’t have the tools to execute them and have no idea where to start. That’s where digital media studio software comes in. A digital media studio allows you to easily organize and edit your media and even combine pics, video or music to create new media projects. Digital media studio software is basically essential for managing all your digital memories.
The next problem you may be facing is deciding which digital media studio to choose? We’ve got you covered there. TopTenREVIEWS has put together a review of the best digital media studio software on the market so you can find what you need. We allow you to compare price and features side-by-side and find the program that best fits your needs. And if you’re looking for the absolute best, we rank them from best to worst (or in many cases, from best to not-quite-as-good-but-still-great).
There were many factors we considered when ranking and reviewing these digital media studios. We considered the uploading and editing options for photos and videos, then we looked at the exporting and authoring options for sharing your media. Finally, we compared how easy the programs were to use and what kind of customer support the manufacturer provides for those with questions or problems. After comparing all these factors, we were able to confidently pick the top three products.
The Adobe Photoshop/Premier Elements combo pack won the TopTenREVIEWS Gold Award because it provides such a wide range of critically acclaimed tools for managing and editing your media. Adobe Photoshop and Premiere are two of the biggest names in the photo editing and video editing industries, respectively, and this combo pack gives you the best of both worlds. Be aware, this pack uses the “lite” versions of these two programs. If you’re planning some professional editing projects, you’ll want to get the full versions of these programs. However, for the average person who just wants to manage and edit their personal media, this product offers all the tools you’ll need. Read the full review.
The TopTenREVIEWS Silver Award went to Corel Digital Studio. Corel has given us a comprehensive package of photo and video editing tools that are geared toward normal consumers. The interface is easy to use and doesn’t require a computer expert to run. Corel Digital Studio allows for mistakes in editing, too. Changes you make are “nondestructive,” meaning you can go back to the original image easily if you don’t like the changes you’ve made. Video editing is similarly simple, and the program offers a one-step process for uploading video directly to YouTube, Facebook and Flickr from your editing bay. Read the full review.
And then we have Roxio Creator, which won the TopTenREVIEWS Bronze Award. Roxio put together a digital media studio designed specifically for the novice user. This program is pretty basic, but that’s a definite strength. Roxio Creator makes it easy to edit video, pictures and audio all in one place, then organize your media and author it to a disc. If you don’t feel comfortable around computers or editing programs, this may be exactly the solution you’re looking for. Much like Corel’s product, Roxio Creator also offers simple uploads to media sites, like YouTube. Read the full review.
